Nutrient Information:
Avocados : Rich in oleic acid, reducing LDL (bad cholesterol), and raising HDL cholesterol (good cholesterol). Contains Omega 6 & vitamin E. Avocados are an excellent source of fat, actually assisting in weight loss! Rich in antioxidants and an anti-inflammatory food.
Also, thanks to their fat content, they improve absorption of the carotenoids antioxidants (beta-carotene) converting to Vitamin A – so a meal containing yellow, orange and green vegetables need this extra fat to provide optimum antioxidants to the body cleaning up our free radicals, supporting skin and anti-aging.
Raw cocoa powder: In a study, researchers compared the antioxidant capacity of black tea, green tea, red wine and cocoa, concluding that cocoa has the highest antioxidant activity among the four products and the greatest potential for health benefits. The Linus Pauling Institute indicates that flavonoid antioxidants such as those found in cacao might interfere with the development of cancer. Also rich in Magnesium, Calcium & B vitamins.
