Hello September!
We hope you, like us, have had a summer filled with sun, sand, saltwater, socialising and plenty of nourishing experiences! Now we’re ready to start adding back a little more structure and focus to our days as the kids go back to school, and work gets back into full flow. The new season invites reflection and intention-setting for autumn ahead. What are you turning your attention to as the summer ends? We’re excited for fresh starts – whether it be a new morning routine, trying a new way of moving our bodies, finally starting that book on the bedside table, or spending more time in nature. Embrace the promise of a new season, and plenty is happening on the island this month to help you do just that!

NEW VEGAN KID ON THE BLOCK
Vegan Food Mallorca was a project born in the middle of the pandemic with just a small industrial kitchen where magic was created. Founder Carla, who has been in the catering business all her life, and loves cooking, creativity and animals, was supported by her mother Margarita – also dedicated to the catering industry with 30 plus years of experience. They have joined forces with new partner Eugenio and evolved into the Vegan Bistro. The concept is to create 100% plant-based versions of traditional dishes and put an end to the myth that vegan food is tasteless and unappetising. The Vegan Bistro has just opened its new premises in central Palma on Avenida de Argentina. The trendy restaurant has a relaxed and intimate atmosphere, serving up everything from breakfast to dinner, coffees to cocktails, and freshly baked treats. Vegan Bistro, Avenida de Argentina, 49 Bajo in Santa Catalina, open Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday, 9:00-17:00, and Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 9:00-00:00 (closed Monday).

JOIN THE SWEAT-IT SQUAD
The turn of the season is the perfect time to ramp the workout routine up a notch, but we all know that relying on sheer willpower and self-motivation is a risky game. Cary’s Andersson has been our go-to fit girl here on the island forever. Her 6-week Total Body Transformation program gives you all the benefits of her expertise along with the coaching, support and accountability you need to succeed. The six weeks of progressive workouts are designed to burn fat, build fitness and tone the whole body, as well as nutrition masterclasses to take the guesswork out of ‘dieting’. You will get daily support and weekly check-ins from your coach, Carys, as well as personalized nutrition goals, access to the recipe hub and access to the SWEAT-IT App. To become part of the ‘Sweat It Squad’ and totally transform your eating habits, blast fat, build muscle and create a kick-ass physique, sign up for the next program HERE.
FIGGY-LICIOUS
The fig season is short, and here on Mallorca, we can delight in this heavenly fruit until around mid-September. The taste of late-summer, figs can be enjoyed in so many ways, in savoury or sweet dishes. We love to pair fresh figs with goat’s cheese as a salad, or, for a light but decadent dessert, simple oven-roasted figs with a good dollop of Greek yoghurt are divine. Slice figs and place them in a baking dish, sprinkle over brown sugar and cinnamon, throw in a few sprigs of rosemary, and roast at 180 degrees Celsius for 40-minutes. Cool a little before drizzling with honey and serve with the yoghurt. Delish!
Wishing you a sunny & serene September,
Love The Nourish Team x
