Experience authentic, traditional Mallorca at Pedruxella Gran
Pedruxella is both a working farm and a unique place to stay, hold a retreat or host an event.
The Farm
Surrounded by 600 acres of olive groves, Pedruxella is a working estate that produces and sells it own olive oil. Although olives have been cultivated there for generations, it was only in the 1990s that the owners, both committed environmentalists, had it certified as organic and also registered the farm as a slow food enterprise.
The Accommodation
Pedruxella Gran also offers three different self-catering villas for rent. Although traditional in architecture, each has been outfitted with all the modern comforts and conveniences one could need. Located close to Pollensa but far from the urban buzz, this is a destination for guests who want see the ‘real’ Mallorca – one untouched by tourism, and where life is lived in harmony with nature.
Accommodation options include:
Main House: Perfect for multi-generational families, or up to three families together, the main house accommodates up to 12 in six bedrooms, with a chef’s kitchen, large terraces and wonderful views.
Son Duri: Nestled amongst olive groves, with a long shady terrace and a plunge pool, this villa sleeps up to 6 in three bedrooms, so is ideal for one family.
Atalaya: A more rustic sanctuary for writers, musicians or artists, where one can escape the real world and gaze out at wonderful sea views, it sleeps up to 4 in two bedrooms.
Events
The estate also has wonderful spaces, indoors and out, for various types of event.
Up to 100 people can be accommodated outdoors, making it an ideal summer wedding venue. The interior can hold up to 40 for cooking or painting workshops, and a studio has room for 12 yogis to practice.
Be an olive farmer for a day
Each year in the autumn, the estate’s 200-year-old stone olive press is put to work, crushing olives in the same way it was done for generations.
Guests and local residents can participate in both the harvesting of the olives and the pressing, for a truly immersive experience, and one that keeps local traditions alive.
