What exactly is CBD and what are the different types available?
Cannabidiol (aka CBD) is one of the many active ingredients in cannabis which is derived from the hemp plant. It’s NON-psychoactive and is used to treat a wide range of stress-related and physical issues. You can find 3 types of CBD products:
- Isolate is purified CBD that has been extracted from the hemp plant. Isolated by a refinement process, removing all of the oils, waxes, chlorophyll and other cannabinoids to obtain a crystalline powder to later be diluted into different kinds of products.
- Broad Spectrum CBD has been extracted from the cannabis plant along with all the compounds and cannabinoids, except THC.
- Full Spectrum CBD is an extract that contains all compounds found to be naturally occurring in the plant. The full spectrum of cannabinoids, terpenes, and essential oils extracted from the plant work together to magnify the therapeutic benefits of each individual cannabinoid. This commonly referred to as the “entourage effect”.

What are the main benefits/uses for CBD oil?

What is your personal favourite use for CBD?
To reduce my anxiety, I take it sublingually, or in my morning matcha. As a skincare product, I like to make my own natural scrubs and then apply some drops of oil. I love how it helps to clear my skin and prevent breakouts.
What else do you love to incorporate into your wellbeing routine alongside CBD oil?
To get the full effect of CBD oil, it is essential to maintain a healthy diet (especially if you are trying to prevent anxiety and depression). Kombucha is my one to go product, keeping a healthy gut is super important for me.
